Fameco Real Estate (610-834-8000) has been selected to exclusively manage the 222,000 sq.ft. Southside Mall in Oneonta, NY. The mall, located on Route 23, is anchored by JCPenney and OfficeMax and has 83,000 sq.ft. available, which was recently vacated by Kmart. Route 23 Associates recently purchased the mall. Fameco brokers negotiated the transaction on behalf of the buyer.

 

The Rotella Group, Inc. (954-568-9015) represents Great Clips For Hair in Indian River, Martin, St. Lucie, Palm Beach and Broward Counties in the southeast Florida market. The hair salons occupy spaces of 900 sq.ft. to 1,200 sq.ft. in supermarket and power anchored centers and Super Wal*Mart and Super Target pad sites. Typical leases run five yeas with a five-year option.

 

The Goldstein Group (201-703-9700) is representing Brunchies in its expansion throughout Essex and Bergen Counties, NJ. The restaurants occupy spaces of 3,500 sq.ft. to 4,500 sq.ft. in endcap and inline locations, neighborhood, community and strip centers, central business districts and freestanding locations. Preferred cotenants include big box retailers, supermarkets and upscale women’s apparel stores.

 

Kowit & Passov Real Estate Group (216-514-5100) represented McGill Property Group in the acquisition of 84 acres in Bainbridge, OH for the development of a 600,000 sq.ft. power center to be anchored by Home Depot and Target. The company will also handle the leasing of the project. It has room for an additional anchor, as well as outlots and shop space. The company also represented Dollar Tree Stores in the leasing of 10,000 sq.ft. at the new Wadsworth Crossing Shopping Center in Wadsworth, OH. The term of the lease is five years. The Super Wal*Mart/Home Depot anchored center is located off of Interstate 76 and State Route 94. The company is also the exclusive listing agent for the new Timber Falls of Boston Mills development in Boston Heights, OH. The center will be located at the Ohio Turnpike Interstate 80 and State Route 8 interchange. The company is also serving as the exclusive listing agent for the new Cascades of Brimfield Shopping Center in Brimfield, OH. The Cascades will be located off of Interstate 76 and Tallmadge Road. Wal*Mart has broken ground and plans to grand open in summer 2006. There will be 650,000 sq.ft. of power retail, outlots and shop space available.

 

Mid-America Groupp (630-954-7300) is representing Argo Tea Café in its expansion throughout Chicago, IL. The cafes occupy spaces of approximately 2,000 sq.ft. 

 

Sutton & Edwards, Inc. (516-328-6500) has been named the preferred broker for Robeks Fruit Smoothies and Healthy Eats for Nassua and Suffolk Counties, NY. The blended fruit drink shops are looking to open as many as 30 locations in the bi-county region. The stores occupy spaces of 1,500 sq.ft. to 2,000 sq.ft. in anchored upscale shopping centers and strip centers with heavy daytime traffic. The company will also serve as the exclusive broker for Quiznos Sub for Staten Island and Westchester County, NY. The sandwich shops currently operate five locations throughout Westchester and are seeking at least 10 to 15 sites. The chain operates two units in Staten Island and is looking to open a minimum of five to 10 more in the New York City borough. The chain is looking for sites of 1,000 sq.ft. to 2,000 sq.ft. in shopping and strip centers with strong daytime traffic.

 

Branded Concept Development (212-260-5210) was named exclusive real estate broker for Good Enough to Eat. The restaurants specialize in homemade soups, large sandwiches and turkey and meatloaf dinners. Branded Concept Development is an outsourced real estate, design and construction alternative for developing restaurant and retail concepts. Its clients include Blockheads Burritos, Buttercup Bake Shop, Camille’s Sidewalk Café, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and The Vitamin Shoppe.

 

Schuckman Realty Inc. (516-496-8888) completed the following transactions: helped Lowe’s obtain approval to develop a 170,000 sq.ft. building for the Town of Islip in Bay Shore, Long Island, NY. The site is adjacent to Gardiner Manor Mall Shopping Center and formerly occupied by Sterns Department Stores. The Lowe’s store is planned to open this spring; brokered nine other Lowe’s deals throughout Long Island, Brooklyn, Staten Island, NY and northern NJ; completed a deal between New Plan Realty and Uncle Giuseppe Supermarkets, which opened an upscale Italian specialty food store at Hillside Village Shopping Center in Smithtown, Long Island, NY on Route 111. The store occupies a space of 35,000 sq.ft.; completed a deal with Alrose Realty for its purchase of a 50,000 sq.ft. shopping center on Long Beach Road, Oceanside, NY; the company will also serve as exclusive representative for the redevelopment and leasing of another 50,000 sq.ft. shopping center in Farmingdale, NY.

 

Trimark Corp. (703-891-2600) is engaged to reposition, lease and manage Diener’s Center, a 32,000 sq.ft. shopping center located on Arlington Boulevard in Fairfax, VA. The company will seek to optimize the tenant mix with complementary retail tenants.

 

Thalhimer/Cushman & Wakefield (757-213-4155) has been selected by Marathon Development to exclusively represent for lease retail space in Granby Tower, which is located at 515 Granby Street in Norfolk, VA. The property will offer 13,240 sq.ft. of retail space and is surrounded by a federal courthouse, offices, schools and entertainment centers.

 

Prudential Douglas Elliman (212-418-2000) has been named exclusive agent for 1796 Broadway in New York, NY.  The retail address is located on the northeast corner of 58th Street and is part of a recently revamped 10-store complex, adjacent to the Time Warner Center. The 7,000 sq.ft. ground and lower level retail space, also known as 240 Central Park South, is presently home to Blues and features an impressive 75 feet of street frontage. The area boasts the fifth highest pedestrian traffic in the city. Area retailers include J. Crew, San Domenico, Cole Haan, Hugo Boss, Armani A/X, Elizabeth Arden and Whole Foods.
