Real Estate Professionals Making The News Katz & Associates Corp. (845-735-6666) hired Jesse Rehmeier as director of real estate in the western region. He will be based out of the Los Angeles, CA office. Prior to joining Katz & Associates, Rehmeier directed the efforts in the western region for the market planning, negotiation and acquisition of real property for the expansion of the restaurant concepts for Brinker International. Prior to working for Brinker, he served as asset manager and real estate manager for Tricon Global Restaurants, Inc. and Carl Karcher Enterprises, where he was responsible for the management of the real estate portfolio for the company in the west and the acquisition of real property for the various restaurant concepts. In addition, Rehmeier worked at the Resolution Trust Corp.
NAI Hunneman (617-457-3400) promoted Gina Barroso to marketing assistant/sales associate and Amy Szeto to research associate. Barroso began working at NAI Hunneman Commercial in 2001 with the Investment Group, where she performed administrative and support duties. In her new position, she will work directly with the investment group on research, marketing and sales transactions. Szeto has also been with the company since 2001. In her new role, she will support the Downtown/Cambridge Group, as well as work closely with the director of marketing and the database manager/research analyst to maintain the company website and in-house databases. As research associate, she will focus on market research and market forecasting.
Grubb & Ellis Co. (847-753-7678) named Michael J. Dee senior vice president, national director of retail and transaction services. Dee has nearly 20 years of retail real estate experience. Most recently, he was director of real estate for Cottonwood Financial. Earlier, he spent three years as development manager of Blockbuster, Inc. and another year as director of store development at Fleming Co.
Coldwell Banker Commercial CRA, LLC (314-206-4600) hired Kenny Balvin as a sales and leasing associate. Balvin will handle all types of commercial real estate, including office, retail and investment properties, with an emphasis on the industrial market. Prior to joining Coldwell Banker Commercial, Balvin spent six years as a registered principal and equity trader, where he managed an office of proprietary traders and customers, supervising $15 million worth of margin and proprietary cash amounts.
Coldwell Banker/George Realty (626-289-6660) hired Ted Crisell to lead the growth of the commercial sales, leasing and investment division of the company. Crisell has over 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. His resume includes all phases of commercial, from leasing and development of major malls and power centers nationally and internationally to directing real estate for a division of General Foods and U.S. Dollar Stores.
Millennium Properties (312-338-3015) hired Greg Mikrut as an associate. Mikrut specializes in investment properties in Chicago and throughout Lake County, IL. Mikrut interned at Arthur Hill & Co. Realty Services, LLC in Evanston, IL, where he contributed to the marketing and analysis of commercial properties.
