Branded Concept Development (212-260-5210) hired Heather Immoor as marketing manager and Jeffrey Levy as associate manager of real estate. Immoor will oversee the marketing, public relations and business development for the company, as well as spearheading branding services on behalf of the company’s clients. Levy will be negotiating on behalf of the company’s portfolio of concepts. Prior to joining the company, Levy served as senior vice president/chief operating officer or Arco Management Corp., where he was responsible for a portfolio of several thousand housing units. Levy also worked for The Argo Corp., CrossLand Federal Savings Bank and American Continental Properties Group.

 

Patriot Equities (484-615-1205) announced that Timothy E. McKenna has joined the firm as a partner and chief financial officer. In this role, he will be responsible for evaluating and financing all investments, and will be a member of the company’s board of directors and investment committee. McKenna has over 20 years of real estate finance experience. Prior to joining Patriot, McKenna worked with a number of Patriot’s senior management team at Preferred Real Estate Investments as CFO, where he assisted in the disposition of over $500 million in assets.

 

Edens & Avant (803-744-2446) hired Rebecca Waters as director of leasing. Waters will be responsible for managing and leasing of the company’s Atlanta, GA and TN portfolios. She joined Edens & Avant from Spectrum Realty Advisors in Atlanta, GA where she was director of leasing. With more than 20 years of retail real estate experience, Waters holds a real estate broker’s license in AL, FL, GA, SC and TN. The company also announced that Carol Hutchinson has joined the company as vice president of leasing. She will take a lead role in both anchor and big box leasing in development and redevelopment projects. Hutchinson’s career spans nearly 20 years in the retail real estate industry. She comes to Edens & Avant from The TJX Cos., Inc., where she was assistant vice president/director of real estate. In this role, she was responsible for new store locations for ground-up and redevelopment projects across all TJX brand concepts. The company also opened a Miami, FL office and hired Jami Passer as vice president. Passer will oversee development, redevelopment and acquisitions activities in the market. Currently, the company has four assets under contract for acquisition and three projects in the development pipeline in the greater Miami market. Prior to joining Edens & Avant, Passer was a partner and consultant with P3 Partners, a south FL real estate firm.

Combined Properties (202-293-4500) hired Peter Mathieson as director of East Coast acquisitions. He brings 17 years of commercial real estate experience to the company. Mathieson began his career in the industry performing consulting, advisory and valuation services with Jones Lang LaSalle in Canada and then in the New York, NY offices. He joined the Rouse Co. in 2001 and was responsible for conducting due diligence, portfolio analysis and developing asset management plans. In his most recent position as asset manager for the central region at The Mills Corp., Mathieson focused on improving the operating and financial performance of nine regional malls.

 

Old Republic Exchange Co. (713-963-9471) hired Alan Hall as regional manager for its 1031 tax deferred exchange operations in NM, OK and TX. Hall has experience as a commercial real estate broker and developer. For the last three years, he has managed franchise sales, mergers and acquisitions for Cendant Corporation’s Coldwell Banker Commercial Brand for CO, LA, MS, NM and TX.

 

The Triad Group of Boston (888-TRIAD-01) is restructuring with Gary S. Rothkopf joining Zvi Schwarzman and Linda Sternberg as principals. The TRIAD Group represents owners, retailers and institutions, such as Boston University for their retail real estate needs. Current TRIAD listings include Newbury Street, Boston, MA; Framingham, MA; Westborough, MA; Stoughton, MA; Vernon, CT; Manchester, CT and many others.

 

Johnson Capital (949-660-1999) added eight employees and four offices to its roster. The growth is the result of the company’s expansion of services, including a small balance group that specializes in nationwide commercial lending under $5 million, formally named Johnson Capital Express. The new employees include Rick Hayward (San Jose), Bob Taylor (Utah), Paul Magote (new Dallas, TX office), Rolf Abt (Denver), Kristen Korbacher (Irvine, CA) and the Johnson Capital Express group of Don Sonsma, Christine Larez and Nick Abbott. The new offices are located in Dallas, TX; Salt Lake City, UT and Valencia and Newport Beach, CA.

Kahl & Goveia (949-376-1100) hired Timothy E. McDonough as partner. During his over 20-year career, McDonough has been directly involved in the acquisition and development of more than $750 million of various commercial properties and land parcels in the U.S. McDonough was formerly the national director of acquisitions and dispositions for Regency Centers Corp. In his new position, McDonough will be responsible for the acquisition and development of retail, mixed-use and redevelopment opportunities in the western U.S. Presently, K&G owns and manages 700,000 sq.ft. and has an additional 300,000 sq.ft. under development in southern CA, much of it in master-planned communities. Current projects include Ocean Ranch Plaza, a 13.61-acre retail, office and hotel project in the Stirling masterplan in Oceanside, CA and Seabridge Marketplace, a Vons-anchored, marina-oriented center in the D.R. Horton masterplan in Oxnard, CA.
