The Charter Cos. (334-502-4100) named Diana Rowe president. Rowe will be involved in mixed-use developments, including identifying project opportunities from land acquisition through design, construction, sales and leasing. Rowe began her career with Kern & Co. Following that, she was named president of Romax, where she led the company’s marketing efforts for office and retail projects in Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC. After Romax, she started Diana Rowe & Co., which provided real estate consulting services to owners, buyers and tenants in site selection, lease and acquisition negotiations, as well as marketing strategies for new or redevelopment projects.

 

The Macerich Co. (602-953-6550) named Stephen M. Kraus vice president, senior real estate counsel. Kraus will focus on development-related issues, including REA’s, pad sales and land acquisitions. He previously worked for the law firm of Freeman, Freeman and Smiley, where he represented owners, developers, retailers and other commercial tenants in a variety of transactions involving shopping centers and other commercial properties. Prior to that, Kraus spent four years as a regional counsel for Homart Development Co. in Los Angeles, CA. He began his career in 1984 as an associate in the real estate department of Rogers & Wells in Los Angeles.

 

Johnson Capital (949-660-1999) appointed Robert Taylor as vice president for its Norwalk, CT office. He will lead the company’s expansion into the Salt Lake City, UT area. Taylor has over 18 years of experience in commercial mortgage banking, primarily in the Northeast, and has been responsible for over $2 billion in loan originations and closings. Prior to joining Johnson Capital, Taylor worked with several firms, including a principle at Madison Capital, Arbor Commercial Mortgage and Greystone Servicing Corp.

 

Fameco Real Estate (610-834-8000) hired Cary Weber to its property management services team. Weber former worked as the real estate division controller at the University City Science Center in Philadelphia, PA. Weber has more than 15 years of property management experience. Prior to the University City Science Center, Weber served as director of property accounting at Insignia/ESG, where she directed the various operations of the firm’s accounting department. Fameco has hired four new accounting professionals to accommodate the growth of the firm in and beyond the Delaware Valley.
