Real Estate Professionals Making the News GVA Williams (212-716-3500) announced that Mark Jaccom has joined the company as president of its tenant representation division. Jaccom will be responsible for instituting value-added consultant services that are expected to enhance the company’s capacity to address the expanding needs of GVA Williams’ growing roster of clients. Jaccom formerly worked for Studley, where he was one of three partners.
NAI MLG Commercial (262-797-9400) promoted Scott Satula to retail sales associate. Satula was previously an intern specializing in retail brokerage.
The Krone Group, LLC (216-464-5900) named Adam Gimbel general counsel and vice president of business development. The company also named Dean Pasalis as a leasing associate.
Colliers Turley Martin Tucker (317-639-0442) named John Huguenard to the national Colliers Investment Services Group advisory board. The primary role of the board is to oversee the manner in which the company operates. Huguenard specializes in the exclusive representation of institutional owners, syndicators and developers.
Across America Real Estate Corp. (303-893-1003) opened a new southwestern regional office to be based in Scottsdale, AZ. The office will be located on East Campo Bello Drive. AARD Vice President Mike Rose has been tapped to head up the Scottsdale office.
Johnson Capital (949-660-1999) announced the launch of their real estate finance joint venture called JCR Capital. JCR Capital focuses on origination and structuring bridge loans, mezzanine loans and preferred equity in all asset classes, including office, retail, multi-family, residential development, land loans and distressed assets. In addition, JCR Capital provides warehouse financing to private/hard money lenders. The firm is able to provide competitive financing on assets that are CDO eligible and also provide financing for opportunistic situations. JCR Capital is focused on transactions in the western U.S. The firm seeks to fund $400 million in the next year.
Territory, Inc. (702-222-1402) named Paul Holmgren to senior advisor. Holmgren will assist with the leasing of mixed-use, urban high-rise projects. Holmgren has a background in independent commercial real estate brokerage and consultation, primarily in CA and NV, specializing in complicated major tenant and restaurant consultation and asset enhancement issues. In addition to his 27 years of real estate experience, he has an operations background with JCPenney, White Front Home Improvement and Safeway, Inc.
DJM Realty (631-751-1100) changed its name from DJM Asset Management to DJM Realty. DJM Realty’s breadth of real estate services include dispositions, real estate investments, capital solutions and valuations for the retail, restaurant, warehouse, industrial, multi-family and residential sectors. In addition to the name change, the company’s website address has also changed from www.djmasset.com to www.djmrealty.com.
RBI Retail Brokers (480-365-1301) hired Cecily Scott as a retail specialist. Scott will handle landlord and tenant representation, leasing, consulting and marketing for the Albuquerque, NM office.
Equity One, Inc. (305-947-1664) named Robert Chappell as director of development for FL, with a focus on the Orlando market. His responsibilities will include searching for new development opportunities and land suitable for supermarket-anchored centers. He will also work with the construction, legal and property management teams for redevelopment of existing shopping centers.
Centennial Properties (509-456-3413) named Robert L. Smith as vice president and chief operating officer. With this appointment, Smith manages the entire real estate division of the Cowles Company, which owns Centennial, with responsibilities for development, leasing and marketing. For the past three years, Smith has served as general manager of River Park Square and development director of West 809, two revitalization projects in the Spokane, WA urban core. Smith will serve as COO for both entities.
Ingenuity Development, LLC (757-333-7515) opened its office in the greater Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point, NC area. Heading the office is executive vice president David Barger, whose responsibilities include cultivating new development projects throughout NC and SC. He will also cover sales, leasing and tenant representation listings, property management and consulting contracts. Barger was previously a partner with Venture Properties, a commercial real estate development firm in North Wilkesboro, NC. He has completed several retail projects working with national and regional tenants such as Lowe’s Home Improvement, Wal*Mart, Food Lion and Staples. His most recent project is Antiquity, a 130-acre mixed-use town center located in Cornelius, NC.
First Retail Partners (202-742-1100) was formed and will offer a full range of real estate solutions, while focusing primarily on tenant and third-party landlord representation. The partners, Scott Thiel and Roger Carlson have over 40 years of combined brokerage experience and market expertise.
First Watch Restaurants, Inc. (813-254-4411) named Michael Pancini vice president of development. Pancini joins the company at a time where plans call for accelerating new restaurant development to approximately 25 openings per year and expanding into new markets, including Chicago, IL and Washington, DC. Prior to joining First Watch, Pancini served as principal of Sunrise Development, an Orlando, FL-based consulting firm dedicated to facilitating the national expansion of numerous retail and restaurant concepts including First Watch, Baja Fresh Mexican Grill, Red Brick Pizza and Quizno’s. At First Watch, Pancini will be responsible for conducting strategic market planning, site selection and lease negotiations, as well as overseeing the construction and facilities functions for the company. |
