Lease Signings


JBG Rosenfeld Retail (301-657-0700) signed the following leases at Free State Shopping Center located on Annapolis Road in north Bowie, MD: 30,000 sq.ft. with Ross Dress For Less and 18,700 sq.ft. with Office Depot. The center is currently tenanted by Rockaway Bedding, Coldstone Creamery, Dolce Pomodoro, Blockbuster Video, Tuesday Morning, AMF Bowling Center, Grace’s Fortune Restaurant, Sakura Japanese Steakhouse, Starbucks, Chevy Chase Bank and Goodyear.

 

PBS Realty Advisors, LLC (212-672-2000) signed a lease for 7,200 sq.ft. with Charlotte Moss on East 63rd Street in New York, NY. Located between Fifth and Madison Avenues, the townhouse will be home to the store and feature three floors of retail space and a private outdoor garden. Design studios and corporate offices will be housed on the fourth and fifth floors. Each floor will recreate a total lifestyle experience, with rooms styled like intimate set pieces, completely decorated with inspirational and aspirational items from an eclectic portfolio of merchandise selected by Moss.

 

H&R Retail (703-356-8230) signed a lease for 30,000 sq.ft. with Ross Dress For Less at Prince George’s Plaza, a center located at the intersection of East-West Highway and Belcrest Road in Hyattsville, MD.

 

Robert K. Futterman & Associates, LLC (212-599-3700) signed a lease for 1,600 sq.ft. with Crocs, a fashionable shoe retailer, on Spring Street in New York, NY. Opening for the store is slated for Spring 2007. Crocs is the maker of rainbow-colored slip-on shoes. Crocs’ products are sold in more than 6,500 retail locations throughout the U.S. The space was formerly occupied by Tennessee Mountain Ribs restaurant.

 

McKinley (734-769-8520) signed a lease for 2,560 sq.ft. with Salsarita’s, a Mexican restaurant, at McKinley Town Centre located in downtown Ann Arbor, MI. Opening is slated for October. Salsarita’s currently operates a location in Allen Park, MI and plans to open three more locations. The restaurant operates in 14 other states throughout the East Coast and Midwest with approximately 40 locations.

 

The Shops at Las Americas (619-934-8400) signed a lease for 6,150 sq.ft. with Achiote By La Espadana, a full-service Mexican restaurant, bakery and bar, at The Shops at Las Americas, a center located just outside of downtown San Diego, CA. The restaurant will be located on an exterior pad at the center with adjacent parking. It will replicate an old California mission setting and will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner selections.

 

Royal Properties, Inc. (914-237-3403) signed a lease for 2,000 sq.ft. with Warm Embrace, a children’s play center, at Chester Mall located in Chester, NY. The lease is for 10 years with two, five-year options. Warm Embrace provides activities such as arts and crafts, story time, music and gym time. Chester Mall is located just off of Exit 126 on Route 17, near the intersection of Route 17M and Route 94. Cotenants include ShopRite, Tractor Supply Company, Dunkin’ Donuts, Subway and Just-A-Buck.

 

Metro Commercial Real Estate (847-412-9898) signed a lease for 1,434 sq.ft. with Jimmy John’s at North Jefferson in Chicago, IL. The company also signed a lease for 1,318 sq.ft. with Jimmy John’s at the intersection of Main Street and Seven Bridges in Woodbridge, IL.

 

Sax Realty, Inc. (240-497-1192) signed a lease for 8,282 sq.ft. with P.F. Chang’s China Bistro on Glebe Road in Arlington, VA. P.F. Chang’s currently operates four units in the Washington, DC metro area, including locations in Rockville and Columbia, MD and Tysons Corner and Fairfax, VA.

 

Commercial Retail Advisors, LLC (520-290-3200) signed a lease for 7,400 sq.ft. with Dress Barn at The Old Spanish Trail Marketplace, a center located at the southeast corner of 22nd Street and Harrison Road at Old Spanish Trail Road in Tucson, AZ. Opening for the store is slated for November.

 

The Goldstein Group (201-703-9700) signed the following leases throughout NJ: 5,300 sq.ft. with Citibank at Brick Church Commons, a center located on Main Street in East Orange; with GNC at Copper Tree Shopping Center located on Route 202 in Oakland. Cotenants include Staples, Mandees, Payless ShoeSource and Dunkin’ Donuts; with Anthony Franco’s, an Italian restaurant, at ShopRite Center located on South Livingston Avenue in Livingston; with New City Dollar Store at New City Shopping Center located on North Main Street in New City; and with Randolph News and Smoke Shop at A&P Shopping Center located at the intersection of Route 10 and Center Grove Road in Randolph.

 

Katz & Associates Corp. (845-735-6666) signed a lease for 37,000 sq.ft. with Loehmann’s on Broadway at West 73rd in New York, NY. The company signed a sublease for a two-story space currently occupied by Gristedes Supermarket. Loehmann’s is looking for more retail locations in Manhattan, exploring possible venues in SoHo, Midtown and the Upper East Side.
