Johnson Capital Ventures, LLC (703-749-0304) hired Jonathan B. Kling as director in its Washington, DC office.  Kling has more than 10 years experience in real estate financing and investment banking.  Most recently, Kling was senior originator for Bridger Commercial Funding, where his responsibilities included the origination of commercial real estate loans throughout the eastern region.  He has also worked as an investment banker with Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Co., Inc., specializing in public and private offerings of equity, debt, mergers and acquisitions.

 

New Quest Properties (281-477-4300) hired Cullen Kappler and Mac Ruggles for its retail leasing and brokerage services division.  Kappler comes to New Quest with two years experience with Yancey-Hausman in Austin, TX, where he worked on retail leasing and the acquisition and disposition of properties.  Ruggles comes to New Quest following a three-year stint with Wells Fargo in Seattle, WA. 

 

GVA Advantis (407-999-4775) promoted Emily Zinaich and Mindy Boehm in its Orlando, FL office.  Zinaich was promoted to director of office services and has over 13 years in the commercial real estate industry.  Prior to working with GVA, she worked with both Colonial Properties Trust and CB Richard Ellis.  Boehm has been promoted to associate director and has over 20 years experience in real estate throughout central FL.   She has been directly involved in over 900,000 sq.ft. of lease transactions totaling $14 million over the past two years with GVA.  Zinaich serves on the board of directors for  Commercial Real Estate for Women, which includes Boehm as one of its members.

 

Staubach Retail (972-361-5422) hired Terry Salzman as senior vice president and market leader for the southern FL region.  His responsibilities will include tenant representation, investment sales and land sales for retail and mixed-use projects. Salzman has over 18 years in FL commercial real estate with a focus on retail leasing, management and development, creating and implementing development strategies for retail and mixed-use properties, financing, leasing and site acquisition. Salzman will be joining John Artope in heading up the Central and Northern Florida offices in providing services to retailers, owners and developers throughout FL.

 

BPG Properties (215-575-2387) appointed Kelly Gibbel to senior asset manager in the company’s Chicago, IL regional office.  Gibbel joins BPG from CarrAmerica Realty Corp. in Washington, DC, where as a senior property manager she was responsible for the organizational management, construction oversight and financial planning of six Class A office buildings totaling one million sq.ft. Prior to joining CarrAmerica, Gibbel was a vice president with the Northern Trust Co. for 21 years where she oversaw management and operation of real estate portfolios for private and pension fund clients.

 

BPG Properties, Ltd. the real estate investment manager for Berwind Property Group, Ltd. and other major institutional investors, is a Philadelphia-based privately held real estate investment firm, with a portfolio consisting of over 20 million sq.ft. of office, retail, student housing, hotel and industrial properties.
