Who Openings & Where RARE Hospitality, Inc. (303-432-0047) is planning to open four Capital Grille locations this year, with five to six units opening in 2008. Most recently, the company opened a restaurant in Burlington, MA at Wayside Commons.
Bruegger’s (802-660-4020) is planning to open 100 bakeries by 2008. In 2006, the company opened 30 locations. The bakeries offer bagels, breads, wraps and other lunch items. The company operates 250 locations throughout the U.S.
Dunkin’ Brands, Inc. (781-737-3000) is planning to open 325 Dunkin’ Donuts locations in the Washington, DC area and 250 in the Northeast by 2010.
Extreme Pita (888-729-7482) is planning to open 200 locations in New England and the metropolitan New York, NY region during the next 10 years. The company has targeted restaurant locations in Boston, MA near Northeastern University and in Plymouth, MA. The restaurants offer pita sandwiches, gyros, and falafel, all combined with a choice of different vegetable varieties.

The stores offer sandwiches and salads.
Chair 5, LLC (781-235-1904) is planning to open 10 or more Qdoba Mexican Grill locations in MA, NH and RI. During the next five years, the company plans to open 33 restaurants in the Boston, MA area. Bravo SuperMarkets (914-694-6400) is planning to open a location in Dover, NJ at the site of a former Orange Carpet store. The 12,000 sq.ft. supermarket will be located at the intersection of Blackwell Street and Dickerson Avenue. Nearby draws include the Dover Train Station.
Chef Dane’s (978-777-3557) is planning to open a location in Plymouth, MA this year. The self-prepare meal concept most recently opened a second store in Needham, MA on Highland Avenue. The company’s first store is located in Danvers, MA. The locations occupy spaces of 1,650 sq.ft. and provide ingredients to customers to prepare their own meals to take home.
Euromarket Design, Inc. (847-234-6433) is planning to open a Crate & Barrel location in Sycamore, OH during 2008 at the Kenwood Towne Centre. The development will have 300,000 sq.ft. of retail space and will include a Nordstrom store, which is slated to open in 2009.

Baybrook Gateway, located in Houston, TX at the intersection of Interstate
45 and Bay Area Boulevard. Linens ‘N Things will be one of three tenants
occupying the former Kmart location. Panda Restaurant Group (626-799-9898) is planning to open 160 new locations in 2007, with 75 planned for the East Coast and Great Lakes region. Most recently, the company opened a Panda Express and Hibachi-San sushi and Japanese restaurant at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, NJ. The company is also planning to open a Panda Express restaurant at Baybrook Village in Houston, TX. The location is slated to open this year.
Wal*Mart Stores, Inc. (479-273-4000) is planning to open more than 600 stores worldwide this year, adding about 60 million sq.ft. through a variety formats. In Lincoln, ME, the company is planning to open a Wal*Mart Supercenter that will include a full supermarket and operate 24 hours. The store is scheduled to open in late 2008. In Osceola, IA, the company is planning to open a 100,000 sq.ft. Wal*Mart Supercenter in spring 2008. The store will be located at the intersection of Southwest Boulevard and College Avenue and will be the state’s 42nd supercenter. The company is also planning to open a supercenter in Newport, SC with a village-style concept. The store will be located on S.C. 161 and is slated to open in early 2008.
