Real Estate Professionals Making the News Johnson Capital (949-660-1999) promoted Ryan Chapman to vice president of the company’s Irvine, CA office. He will be responsible for the placement of debt and equity on all types of commercial real estate. Since joining the company in 2003, Chapman has been involved in the placement of more than $600 million in debt and equity for acquisition, development and refinance of industrial, office, retail, multi-family, special use and mixed-use properties. Previously, he had worked as a research associate with PM Realty Advisors.
GVA Williams (203-961-6597) appointed Rich DiDonato to the retail leasing division of the company’s Stamford, CT office. He will specialize in representing retailers with site selection as well as marketing shopping centers for owners.
NAI MLG Commercial (262-797-9400) promoted Vytau Barcas, Tim Brunow, Ross Fuller and Mark Harris to vice president, and John McCardle was promoted to senior vice president. McCardle has been with the company since 2004, Barcas since 2001, Brunow since 2002, Fuller since 2003 and Harris since 2005.
De Rito Partners Development, Inc. (714-921-4300) named Tom Gast president and partner of De Rito Partners West, the company’s new CA office in Anaheim Hills. He will be responsible for the acquisition and development of retail, mixed-use and redevelopment opportunities in CA and NV as part of the company’s $100 million planned investment in those markets.
Ornstein Leyton Co. (516-222-0919) hired Brian Moss as director of commercial operations. He will guide the company’s push into shopping center development and other commercial real estate avenues. Prior to joining the company, he spent 11 years as vice president of Shopping Center Realty.
Fameco Real Estate (610-834-8000) hired Andrew Trabold to be part of the company’s investment sales group. He had previously worked as a sales associate with Long & Foster.
Next Realty, LLC (312-654-8900) appointed Tracey Harnisch director of leasing. She will be responsible for tenant relationships within the company’s portfolio, including shopping centers, retail land and parking structures. Harnisch has been with the company since 2005, when she was hired as a project manager of Next Realty’s Midwest Brokerage division.
Lee & Associates of Michigan (248-567-8000) named Mark Schafer senior associate. He will focus on industrial projects in southwestern Oakland and Livingston counties in MI. He has previously worked in residential real estate with Fidelity National Title Co. and in the construction industry with Schonsheck, Inc.
Cushman & Wakefield (212-841-7500) promoted Richard S. Baumstein to executive vice president. He has been with the company since 1975. Baumstein specializes in agency assignments for corporate users, developers and property owners.
