| Real Estate Professionals Making the News Johnson Capital (970-926-6181) opened its Vail, CO office and named Thomas D. Klein and Michael A. Cantwell managing directors. Cantwell founded the company’s Denver, CO office in 1995 and, as president of that office, is in charge of new business production and development of new capital programs. Klein is a founder and major shareholder of Millennium Bank and Millennium Bancorp, Inc. and also founded The Klein Group, a private mortgage banking firm in Edwards, CO. Johnson Capital’s Vail office will focus on business development in the CO mountain resort communities of Vail, Aspen, Steamboat Springs and Summit County. Realty Resources (757-490-7822) added RetailWorks of Georgia, Inc. and First Retail Partners to its network. RetailWorks is a real estate firm specializing in retail leasing and advisory services in metropolitan Atlanta, GA with clients such as Publix, The UPS Store and Amazing Rooms. First Retail Partners is based in Washington, DC and is a full-service retail real estate brokerage company serving the greater Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD market. The company focuses primarily on tenant representation and third-party landlord representation. Among the clients First Retail Partners has introduced into new markets are Panera Bread, Trader Joe’s, Pier 1 Imports, Hollywood Video, World Market, Ruby Tuesday and Fleming’s Steak House. Realty Resources is a national network of independently owned and operated full-services real estate brokerage firms. ABS Partners Real Estate, LLC (212-400-6060) announced that Randy Modell has received the 2006 Most Promising Commercial Broker of the Year award from the Real Estate Board of New York. Modell helped originate and sell more than $200 million in real estate. He also worked on a variety of assignments including representing Municipal Credit Union in the lease signings for bank branches, as well as the expansion plans for Laila Rowe jewelry stores and Grandaisy Bakery.
