Jim Wilson & Associates, Inc. is preleasing EastChase Market Center, a 513,688 sq.ft. power center located in Montgomery, AL at the Taylor Road exit off Interstate 85. The center, part of the 330-acre EastChase mixed-use development, will feature two anchor stores and eight mid-box retailers. Opening is slated for this summer and will bring the total retail space of EastChase to 1.272 million sq.ft. The development includes The Shoppes at EastChase, a 432,000 sq.ft. open-air center that opened during 2002 and is anchored by Dillard’s, Books-A-Million and Linens ‘N Things. Cotenants include Williams-Sonoma, Ann Taylor, New York & Company, Talbots, Chico’s, Coldwater Creek, Harold’s and Banana Republic, along with the following restaurants: Bonefish Grill, La Jolla Restaurant & Bar, Red Star Tavern, Panera Bread, Cheeburger Cheeburger, Zoes Kitchen, Moe’s Southwest Grill and Guthries. In addition, the development includes The Plaza at EastChase, a 325,907 sq.ft. power center anchored by Target, Kohl’s, PetSmart, Ross Dress for Less, World Market and Pier 1 Imports. Occupying the site’s outparcels are Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, Arby’s, Wendy’s, Sonic, Hampton Inn & Suites, Verizon Wireless, Wachovia, Lifeway Christian Store, Ruby Tuesday, Whataburger, The Vitamin Shoppe and Chili’s. Lakeview Center at the Office Park at Eastchase makes up phase one of the office component of the project, with a total of 100,000 sq.ft. of office space. A hotel is also planned for the site, with Staybridge Suites slated to open next year. Nearby draws include Maxwell Air Force Base and Gunter Annex and Air University. Area demographics include a population of 104,460 within five miles earning $103,827 as the average household income.

The Walgreen’s-anchored center is located at the intersection of 143rd Street and Will Cook Road. Garden Commercial Properties is preleasing Raritan Town Square, a 520,000 sq.ft. mixed-use center located at the intersection of State Route 31 and County Route 523 in Flemington, NJ. Lowe’s Home Improvement and Wal*Mart are anchoring the site, which will include a power retail center with entertainment and office components, as well as a civic center. Opening is slated for next spring. NAI Welsh is redeveloping Cedar Point Commons, a 350,000 sq.ft. center situated on a land area of 30 acres on 66th Street in Richfield, MN. McWhinney Enterprises is developing Grand Station at Centerra, a 110-acre mixed-use project located at the intersection of Highway 34 and Interstate 25 in Fort Collins, CO and slated to open during 2009. The center will feature 480,000 sq.ft. of retail, restaurants and entertainment, as well as 245,000 sq.ft. of offices, 156 residences, a 180-room four-diamond hotel and 220 business travel hotel rooms. Phase one will consist of 60 acres. The site has an average daily traffic count of 109,300.
