Famous Footwear (800-888-7198) is planning to open a 6,000 sq.ft. store at Lockwood Place, located at the intersection of Pratt Street and Market Place in Baltimore, MD. Cotenants include Best Buy, Filene’s Basement and Panera Bread. The
company currently operates six locations throughout Baltimore, MD and 800 locations nationwide.

Steve & Barry’s (516-267-7300) plans to open a 56,000 sq.ft. store at the Corum Station Shopping Center in Spring, TX. This is the company’s 18th location in TX, with additional stores to open in Dallas, Houston and San Antonio. The casual clothing stores offer affordable apparel for men, women and children, including full lines of jeans, t-shirts, athletic pants, jackets, footwear, hooded sweatshirts, jerseys, hats, shorts and polo shirts. The company currently operates 200 locations in 33 states nationwide.

Dunham’s Sports (248-674-4991) is planning to relocate from Saybrook Plaza to the Ashtabula Mall on North Ridge East in Ashtabula Township, OH. The company, offering a full-line of sporting goods, athletic equipment and apparel, currently operates 130 locations throughout IA, IL, IN, KY, MD, MI, MN, OH, PA, SD, WI and WV.

Big 5 Sporting Goods (310-536-0611) is planning to open a 10,000 sq.ft. store on Main Street in Red Bluff, CA. The sporting good stores offer a full-line of athletic products, including accessories, apparel and shoes, in addition to equipment for fitness, snowboarding and in-line skating, along with outdoor equipment for fishing, camping and hunting.

Ed Hardy (323-785-4460) is planning to open four stores this year with locations in Miami, FL; Los Angeles, CA and Atlanta, GA. Most recently, the company opened a two-story 5,000 sq.ft. flagship store on Mercer Street in New York, NY. The store offers the company’s private line of men’s and women’s collections of caps, t-shirts, tunics, denim, knits, lingerie, shoes, eyewear, watches and bags. The store is the company’s second in New York City and joins its other locations on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, CA and in Tucson, AZ. Expansion will most likely take place next year in Las Vegas, NV; Chicago, IL; Philadelphia, PA; Washington, DC; Boston, MA and Dallas and Houston, TX.

Circuit City Stores, Inc. (804-527-4000) is planning to open 60 to 65 Circuit City Stores by February 2008. The company currently operates 600 locations nationwide.

Costco (425-313-8100) is planning to open a store at the Stafford Park, a mixed-use redevelopment in Barnegat, NJ. Proposed cotenants include Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, PetSmart and Target. The membership warehouse clubs, with store sizes averaging 140,000 sq.ft., currently operates over 500 locations nationwide and internationally.

Domino’s Pizza (734-930-3030) is planning to open locations throughout Moon and Bradford Woods, PA in addition 10 restaurants in Allegheny County during the coming two years.

First Watch Restaurants (941-907-9800) plans to open six to eight restaurants throughout western PA during the next 18 months. Possible sites include Squirrel Hill, Shadyside, Monroeville, the North Hills and Century III. The restaurants offer a breakfast, brunch and lunch menu daily, and offer an assortment of breakfast and brunch specialty items, sandwiches and salads. The company currently operates over 70 locations throughout AZ, FL, KS, KY, MD, MO, OH, OK, PA, VA and WV.

Venus (904-645-6000) opened two locations in FL during June. The company offers affordable women’s swimwear, apparel and accessories via Internet and direct-mail catalog. In addition to the flagship location in Jacksonville, a 3,500 sq.ft. store opened at the Coconut Point Shopping Center in Estero and a 3,500 sq.ft. store opened at the Tyrone Square Mall in St. Petersburg. The stores feature a sleek, youthful look with natural hardwood finishes, modern lighting fixtures and plasma televisions. The company is planning additional expansion throughout FL with plans for 30 stores, and is considering locations in Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, South Beach, Tampa and West Palm Beach.

Lumber Liquidators (757-259-4280) opened a store on West Mossy Road Cup Street at the intersection of Overland Road and Victory Road in Boise, ID. The specialty retailer offers high-quality hardwood flooring at discount prices and carries over 100 varieties of flooring. The company currently operates over 100 locations nationwide and has plans for expansion throughout the year.

Calvin Klein, Inc. (908-685-0500) a division of Phillips-Van Heusen, is planning to open five freestanding specialty retail Calvin Klein white label stores during November. The 10,000 sq.ft. freestanding locations are scheduled to open at: The Beverly Center in Los Angeles, CA; Cherry Creek in Denver, CO; Lenox Square in Atlanta, GA; Natick Collection in Natick, MA and The Mall at Partridge Creek in Bloomfield Hills, MI. The shops will offer a high-end line of men’s and women’s apparel and accessories, including sportswear, jeanswear, intimate apparel, outerwear, footwear, eyewear, watches, fragrances, belts, ties and dresses. Plans for expansion include an additional five freestanding locations to be open by the end of 2008, with a focus on major metro markets such as Scottsdale, AZ; San Diego and San Francisco, CA; Miami and Orlando, FL; Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; Las Vegas, NV; New York, NY; Dallas and Houston, TX. The company currently operates under the brand names Calvin Klein Collection, ck Calvin Klein, Calvin Klein, Calvin Klein Jean and Calvin Klein Underwear, with representation by Cushman & Wakefield.
