| Who's Opening & Where Stater Bros. (909-783-5000) is planning to open a 44,000 sq.ft. supermarket at the Moreno Marketplace, located at the intersection of Cactus Avenue and Moreno Beach Drive in Moreno Valley, CA. The 94,000 sq.ft. shopping center will be tenanted by Baskin Robbins, Charo Chicken, Chopsticks, Fantastic Sams, Jack In The Box, Juice It Up!, Lakeside Cleaners, Michael’s Donuts, Red Brick Pizza, Red Persimmon Nails & Spa, Starbucks and Wells Fargo Bank. The center is scheduled to open during early 2008. Regal Entertainment Group (865-922-1123) is planning to open a Regal Cinema mega movie plex at the Bridge Street Town Centre, Chicagoland development located at the intersection of Interstate 55 and Interstate 80 in Joliet, IL. The movie theater will feature at least 3,000 seats, 16 to 18 screens, stadium seating and a digital surround-sound system. Scheduled to break ground during late 2008, the three million sq.ft. mixed-use lifestyle center will include 1.5 million sq.ft. of upscale retail shops and restaurants, 600 multi- and single-family residential units, 200,000 sq.ft. of office space and a 200-room hotel and conference center. Kings Seafood Co. (714-432-0400) is planning to open a King’s Fish House restaurant in Tempe, AZ during the fall. The company currently operates 11 Kings Fish House/King Crab Lounge restaurants throughout southern CA and NV and operates additional restaurants under the trade names of Water Grill in Los Angeles, CA; Ocean Avenue Seafood in Santa Monica, CA; i.Cugini in Santa Monica, CA; 555 East Steakhouse in Long Beach, CA and Lou & Mickey’s in San Diego, CA. Casey’s General Stores, Inc. (515-965-6100) is
planning to open 10 stores by April 2008. The convenience stores offer Zaxby’s (866-892-9297) is planning to open a restaurant at the Okatie Crossing shopping center in Okatie, SC during the fall. Additional retailers scheduled to open at the 800,000 sq.ft. shopping center include an 18,000 sq.ft. Ethan Allen design center which will open spring 2008. Sendik’s (414-962-1600) is planning to open a 57,000 sq.ft. supermarket this fall at the Fountains of Franklin, located at the intersection of West Rawson Avenue and South 51st Street in Milwaukee, WI. The upscale supermarkets offer gourmet cheeses, specialty food items and wine, floral, gift, deli, catering and bakery departments in addition to fresh fish, meats, fruits and vegetables. The center will be cotenanted by a 4,500 sq.ft. Bank Mutual Bank. The four-unit chain of supermarkets currently operates additional locations throughout the metro Milwaukee, WI market. Pottery Barn (415-421-7900) is opening a 20,700 sq.ft. store this fall at the Westfield Annapolis Mall in Anne Arundel County, MD. Expansion plans at the newly renovated mall include an additional 1,000 parking spaces, a new mall entrance, valet parking and a three-story parking garage. New retailers being brought to the center include H & M, Esprit, Lucky Brand Jeans, Quicksilver, The Walking Co., Sole Mio, Metropark, Sketchers, Zumiez, Levi’s, J. Crew and McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant. Golf USA, Inc. (405-751-0015) is planning to open locations in Redding, CA and Gallatin, TN during the summer. The company has recently opened locations nationwide in Santa Rosa, CA; Coral Springs and Trinity Village, FL; Coralville, IA and Merrimack, NH along with international locations in Ireland, Holland and Spain. The specialty golf retailer currently operates 125 locations in 32 states nationwide. Bertucci’s (508-351-2500) is planning to open three restaurants during the fall, along with 14 additional locations opening during the next two years throughout the Mid-Atlantic and New England regions. The new restaurants will feature vibrant colors and artwork, offer a private dining room with a fireplace, an updated bar with additional seating and a pizza bar, which allows customers to dine with a view of the open kitchen. The company currently operates 92 locations. Santa Fe Steakhouses (718-459-4040) is planning to open a restaurant adjacent to the Lehigh Mall on 18th Avenue in Columbus, GA during late October. The restaurants offer chicken and seafood, signature dishes, including the Lynchburg Steak, and a lunch express menu featuring salads, sandwiches, ribs and steak. The company plans to have 20 locations operating throughout AL, GA, MI, OK and TN by the end of the year. Talbots, Inc. (781-749-7600) is planning to open 74 Talbot’s and J.Jill stores during the year. Talbot’s offers women’s casual wear, work wear and dress apparel, along with shoes and accessories under the trade names of Talbots Misses, Talbots Petites, Talbots Woman, Talbots Woman Petites and Talbots Collection. Talbots also offers children’s and men’s apparel under the concepts Talbots Kids and Talbots Mens. J.Jill offers women’s upscale casual apparel, accessories and shoes. The company currently operates over 1,300 locations nationwide in 47 states and throughout Canada and internationally. Viaero Wireless (970-542-3600) is planning to open a 4,870 sq.ft. store at the Grand Corners development center in Grand Island, NE during July 2008. The chain of stores, offering wireless services, currently operates 21 locations throughout CO and NE. Area retailers include Kohl’s and T.J. Maxx. Target (800-440-0680) is planning to open a 127,246 sq.ft. store on Cherry Avenue in Long Beach, CA during July 2008. Construction is slated to commence this fall. Area retailers will include Food 4 Less and Starbucks. The company currently operates 1,500 locations nationwide. |
