| Who's Opening & Where Darden Restaurants, Inc. (407-245-4000) is planning to roll out new concepts throughout the Northeast, including Bahama Breeze, a Caribbean-themed restaurant, and Seasons 52, a grill and wine bar. The company also trades as Olive Garden and Red Lobster. Muji USA, Ltd. (212-334-2002) is planning to open its second store in Manhattan, NY early this year at the New York Times tower. In addition, the company plans to open stores in Canada. The company recently opened its first North American location in Manhattan on Broadway. The Japanese-based retailer sells home accessories and clothing items. Michael Kors (USA), Inc. (212-201-8100) is planning to open a 2,800 sq.ft. store at a space formerly occupied by Adrienne Vittadini at Crystal Palace, a 14,000 sq.ft. center located at the intersection of Route 7A and Depot Street in Manchester, VT. In addition, B.J. Vines, Inc. (212-244-0843) is planning to open a Betsey Johnson store at the center. The company currently operates 45 stores worldwide. AnnTaylor Stores Corp. (212-541-3300) also plans to open an Ann Taylor store at Crystal Palace. The company currently operates one other VT store in Burlington. DSW, Inc. (614-237-7100) is planning to open 30 stores this year throughout NJ and the Northeast. New stores will be built under a loft-style prototype, replacing the company’s current warehouse format. Mealey’s Furniture Galleries (215-949-1111) is planning to open an 84,000 sq.ft. store in Warminster, PA at the site of a former Burlington Coat Factory. The location is the company’s fifth showroom. The store will also include a café serving complimentary snacks to customers. Lowe’s Cos. Canada, ULC (416-730-7300) is continuing its expansion throughout Canada with three Lowe’s Home Improvement stores slated to open during February, including in East Gwillimbury, North Brampton and Toronto. Recently, the company opened three stores in the Greater Toronto area, specifically South Brampton, Brantford and Hamilton. There are 15 more sites in various stages of development. planning to open 150 restaurants next year in NJ and Giant Food (301-341-4100) is planning to open its first gas station in Pasadena, MD at Lake Shore shopping center. Opening is slated for February. The company currently operates 10 stores in the market and 104 locations throughout the state. Ace Hardware Corp. (630-990-6600) is planning to open a
12,000 sq.ft. location on GA 49 in Byron, GA. Opening is slated Agent Provocateur, Inc. (323-653-0229) is planning to expand throughout the U.S. by opening two to four stores annually. Long-term plans call for 40 to 60 lingerie stores during the coming years. The company currently operates 14 freestanding sites, 12 department stores and nine franchises. Recently, the company opened a location at Bal Harbour shopping center in Miami, FL. Harp’s Food Stores, Inc. (479-751-7601) is planning to open a 32,000 sq.ft. grocery store at Pinnacle Hills on Pauline Whitaker Boulevard in Rogers, AR. The store will feature a bakery, deli, meat market, produce, pharmacy and a gas station. Opening is slated for later this year. Walgreens Co. (847-914-2500) is planning to open a store
in Cody, MT during October. The drug store chain operates 6,000 California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. (310-342-5000) is
planning to open 15 to 16 restaurants annually. The company recently opened its
third Las Vegas, NV area location at The Gordmans, Inc. (402-691-4000) is planning to open a 50,000 sq.ft. department store at Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers, AR. Opening is slated for this spring. The company currently operates 63 department stores in 15 states. Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrances, Inc.

center American Eagles Outfitters, Inc. (412-432-3300) is planning to open a 25,000 sq.ft. store in Times Square in Manhattan, NY. Opening is slated for this year and will occupy four levels and feature 14,500 sq.ft. of display space, as well as a 250-foot signage tower. Cardi’s Furniture (508-379-7510) is planning to open a 100,000 sq.ft. store in Braintree, MA during fall 2008. The store will be the company’s seventh location throughout the MA-RI area. The site was formerly occupied by Home Depot Expo. Phillips-Van Heusen Corp. (212-381-3500), through its subsidiary, Calvin Klein, Inc., plans to open freestanding Calvin Klein Collection stores during the next three years. The company operates a flagship location on Madison Avenue in Manhattan, NY, as well as stores in Milan, Italy; Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Beijing, China.
